The Albédo project is led by La Bouée (a purchasing company for the preservation and development of community housing) and supported by the Action-Habitation technical resource group. Albédo is a 128-unit housing project expected to be completed in the spring of 2024. In addition, part of the ground floor will be dedicated to the new facilities of the La Petite Cour de Mistigri daycare centre, making the project a highly fruitful intergenerational site.
This project is certainly unique in Quebec in terms of its energy and environmental concerns. The building was designed with the aim of reducing its energy consumption and GHG emissions throughout its lifecycle. To this end, the building will be heated using a heat recovery system from the Centre des glaces and will be tempered using geothermal energy.
